With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norwood E. Franklin (Shreveport, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2024 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet Bewley Franklin and Andrew Franklin; and his sister Florence Scheffler. He is survived by: his significant other Joyce Weiner; his children, Ronald Franklin, Robert Franklin and Katrina Franklin Giacalone; his granddaughters, Janice Franklin, Brandi Giacalone and Erica Giacalone; and his great grandchildren, Seth Scroggins, Kaden Linder, Andrew Browning and Layla Browning.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Osborn Funeral Home (3631 Southern Ave, Shreveport, LA 71104). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at the Forest Park Cemetery - West (4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109).
