It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Neilson Lea Johnson (Shreveport, Louisiana), who passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Melvin F. Johnson Jr. and Lea Morton Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Gleason Johnson of Shreveport; his children, Bradford Johnson, Hannah Johnson of Denver, CO and Luna Corzine of Shreveport; his siblings, Eric Johnson (Kathryn) of Savannah, GA and Margo Johnson Williams (Larry) of South Freeport, ME; his nieces and nephews, Righton Johnson Lewis, Marcus Johnson, Lea Williams and Anne Williams; and his former wife Rita Hummingbird.
His legacy includes inspiring photographs that adorn countless walls around Shreveport, writing and photo contributions to publications like the Shreveport Times and Louisiana Life magazine and many photo-illustrated books.
