With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Minette DeFrance Haynes (Shreveport, Louisiana), who passed away on March 13, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel DeFrance and Albert Kennedy DeFrance; her husband James Buchanan Haynes Jr.; her brother Albert Kennedy DeFrance Jr.; and her daughter Katherine Haynes Sales.
She is survived by: her children, Minette Haynes Alexander (David) and James Buchanan Haynes III (Susana); her grandchildren, Grayson Nale (Wesley), David Alexander (Taylor Anne), Caroline Haynes, Gloria Leopard (Patrick) and James Haynes IV (Nicole); and her great grandchildren, Calder Nale, Liza Nale, Ellie Leopard and Haynes Alexander.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Mark's Cathedral or a charity of your choice.
