Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Marilyn Light of Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away at the age of 93, on January 14, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, E. D. Barnett and Clarice Barnett; her daughter Melissa Michele Light; her husband Jim Light; and her siblings, Priscilla Gail Barnett, Margie Beth Barnett Sandlin and Jack D. Barnett.
She is survived by: her sons, James M. Light, Jr. (Nancy) and Creighton Matthew Light (Elizabeth); her grandchildren, Jordan Barnett Light, Kiersten Clare Light Prochnow (Luke), Creighton "Matthew" Light, Jr. (Paige) and Madelyn Elizabeth Light Brannon (Austin); and her great grandchildren, Hayden, Lorelai Prochnow, Georgiana and Josephine Light. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Osborn Funeral Home (3631 Southern Ave, Shreveport, LA 71104).
