She was predeceased by: her parents, Wyett Nichols and Nelwyn Hill Nichols; her brother Wyett "Big Bubba" Nichols; and her son Kristopher McFarland Kelley. She is survived by: her daughter Karin Kelley Oathout (Patrick Oathout); her grandchildren, Haley Oathout Harrell (Austin Harrell), Sutton Oathout and Addison Oathout; her great grandchild Travis Harrell; her sister Judy Nichols Bolen; and her former husband Chester T. Kelley.
She also held the position of Vice President of The Health Career Institute at Our Lady of the Lake College where she developed a curriculum for Alzheimer's and Dementia Education.
