It is with great sadness that we announce the death of MaLou Chalfant Maxey (Shreveport, Louisiana), who passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Charles Robert Chalfant. She is survived by: her husband James Robert Maxey; her sons, Roy Maxey and Ignatius Maxey; and her mother Louie Griffith Chalfant.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the downtown YMCA, 400 McNeil St., Shreveport, LA 71101 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
