He was predeceased by: his parents, Westley Wafer and Annie Mae Wafer; and his siblings, Irene Wafer, Gladys Lias, Seney Hill, Louis Wafer, Joe Wafer, Charles Wafer, Claxton Wafer and Theola Davis.
He is survived by: his sister Iriey Jean Wafer of Houston, Texas; and his friend Annie Lee Jones of Benton, Louisiana. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
