It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lucy Lee Gentry Jennings of Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Earl Gentry and Atla Spillman Gentry; her husband Jerry Calvin "Jeb" Jennings; and her siblings, Edward Earl and Brownie Shirley (C. F. "Red" Shirley).
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Jennings Demane (Mark) and Richard Calvin Jennings (Teress); her grandchildren, Rebekka Jennings Norwood (Trent) and Michael Kole Jennings; her great grandchild Jack Calvin Norwood; and her siblings, Robert Gentry (Laurie) and Evelyn "Evie" Sutton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rose Neath Funeral Homes - Shreveport Southside (2500 Southside Dr, Shreveport, LA 71118). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Jennings Chapel Cemetery (10968 LA-120, Marthaville, LA 71450).
Lucy requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Coats for Kids or Paralyzed Veterans of America.
