He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Porter, Sr. and Gwendolyn Nelson Morgan; his sister Marsha Cook; and also, Godmother and Louise Morris.
He is survived by: his siblings, Diane Porter of Bogalusa, Kimberly Showers (Bobby) of Covington, Gerald Nelson (Jowandlyn) of Baton Rouge, Donald Nelson of Hattiesburg, MS, Christopher Nelson (Yvonne) of Franklinton, Charles Nelson (Tammie) of Hattiesburg, MS and Travious Nelson of Bogalusa; his stepfather Charles Morgan of Bogalusa; his nieces, Chuntay Nelson of Bogalusa, Daisa Nelson of Hattiesburg, Godmother, Barbara Jacobs of Bogalusa, Godfather, Paul Morris of Franklinton, Godsister and Bobbie Fontenot of Slidell; and his friends, Gerrard Jackson, Tonia Martin, Deshonia Plummer, Deidra Robison, Bridget Scott and Bridgette Williams. He is also survived by child, who he treasured and loved immensely, Leon Stanley Nelson Jr. of Shreveport; his loving and faithful grandmother.
