With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joye T. Byrd of Shreveport, Louisiana, born in Downsville, Louisiana, who passed away on April 4, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Taylor (Jim) and Bertha Mae Simmons (Sis); her husband Floyd Byrd; her foster son Gary Conner; and her nephew Hank Taylor.
She is survived by: her sister Bertha Owens; and her nieces and nephews, Rodney Griffin, Terry Taylor, Tom Canterbury, Bert Owens, Becky Reeves, Beth Long and Beverly Lane.
