He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Pierson and Virginia Pierson; his brother Jim; and his great grandchild Olivia Grace Pierson. He is survived by: his wife Connie Corkern Pierson; his sons, Jason (Shelby) and Ronald Pierson (Shelley); his sisters, Mary Lou (Phil) and Patsy (Roddy); his sister-in-law Michele; his grandchildren, Christian (Abby), Parker, Chandler, Emilie and Carter; his great grandchild Paisley; and also, Ronald Corkern, Lewis Jones, Bruce Lowe, Stanley Matthews, John Cox, Joe Pierson and Jimmy Stevens.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (500 Common St, Shreveport, LA 71101). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the American Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:45 PM at the First Methodist Church (500 Common St, Shreveport, LA 71101).

His legal expertise also led him to serve on various boards, including the City Bank and Trust Co., Sci-Port (where he was Chairman), the Hal Sutton Foundation, and Goodwill Industries of Northwest Louisiana.
