We are sad to announce that on November 9, 2024, at the age of 84, James Edwards Jr. of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edwards, Sr. and Lorene Edwards of Shreveport La; his sister Janie Foreman; and his nephew Frederick Brown. He is survived by: his wife Opal Edwards; his children, Laimont, Cynthia (Robert), Kim, Gelyse, Pam Ealy and Christin Johnson; his grandchildren, Brandy, Brittany, Laimont Jr. of Chandler, Mi, Keesha, Bobby, Aris and Aki; and his great grandchildren, Kaleb, Anaya, Nathan, Abigail, Daniel, Glorianne and Elijah.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM at the Troy B. Smith Professional Services Chapel (9013 Scott St, Houston, TX 77051). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
