She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Houston Everett and Imo Louise Alvey Everett; and her husband Robert Benson. She is survived by: her daughter Darlene Milliron; her son-in-law Kenneth Mathis; her sister Bobbye Jones; her daughter Gaila Mathis; her son-in-law Henry Milliron; her grandchildren, Monte Mathis, Heather Barney (John) and Timme Milliron; her great grandchildren, Leora, Allison, Morgan, Rhea, John Robert and Hazel Barney; and her sister Raynell Dodson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Centuries Memorial Funeral Home (8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71108). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Forest Park Cemetery West (4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109).
