It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grady Carlton Golden of Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on April 9, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry William Grady Golden and Mary Lou Moss Golden; his grandsons, Trey and Levi; his nephew Matt; his wife Susanne Neal Golden; his children, Grady Carlton Golden, Jr. (Rachel Johnson Golden) of Shreveport, David Christopher Golden of Shreveport, Alan R. Tipton, Jr. (Mary Hinton Tipton) of Shreveport and Karen Elizabeth Golden James of Ruston; his grandchildren, Kristen James Watters (David Watters), Grady Carlton Golden III (Lindsey Vierra Golden), William Levi Golden (Meagan Maddox Golden), Sydney Elisabeth Brittain Dickson (Clayton Rigby Dickson), Ansley Elizabeth Tipton, Annie Marie Brittain, Neal Alan Tipton and Corinne Arabella Tipton; his great grandchildren, Madison Grace Watters, Clayton Rigby Dickson, Jr., Beckham Levi Golden, Braydon James Watters, William Sidney Dickson and Hunter Easton Golden; and his siblings, William Franklin Golden (Jo Ann) and Patricia Louise Golden Fellows (Dan).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to benefit First United Methodist Church 500 Common Street Shreveport, LA 71101 or Louisiana Methodist Children's Home 901 S. Vienna St. Ruston, LA 71270 or other charities of your choice.

“Grady was a good man and ran a great business. 0ver 40 years ago, I started a business. Without “credit” histories, he allowed my companies to expand and grow. Never once did he require me to post collateral. He always said he had a good sense for reading character… a true compliment to my company. Over the years, he always took time to speak and thank me for my business. Men like him are rare and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers for his repose and family. Oasis Pools”
