It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine F. Van Tiem in Shreveport, Louisiana, born in Opelousas, Louisiana, who passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Geraldine departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Geraldine. Though Geraldine may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her son Brian Van Tiem. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Van Tiem; and her children, Michael Van Tiem, David Van Tiem and Julia Van Tiem Martin. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans (939 Jordan St, Shreveport, LA 71101). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
