He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Brooks and Thomas Brooks (T. L.); and his brother Wayne Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Jay Brooks (Andrea), Scott Brooks (Christine), Gina Martinez (David) and Holley McBroom; his grandchildren, Craig Beilby, Jay Anthony Brooks, Matthew Brooks, Evan Brooks, Katherine Martinez, Caroline Brooks and Emma Brooks; and his great grandchildren, Memphis and Eliza Brooks.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Osborn Funeral Home (3631 Southern Ave, Shreveport, LA 71104). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pine Grove Cemetery (1187 Pine Grove Church Rd, Bernice, LA 71222).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Disabled American Veterans, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
