It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Wells Jr. of Shreveport, Louisiana, born in Imboden, Arkansas, who passed away on April 2, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Stuart and Audrey Morris Wells. He is survived by: his wife Ann Scantland; his children, Dr. F. Stuart "Doc" Wells (Susan) of Cookeville, TN and Mari Wells Simons (Paul) of Shreveport, LA; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Boitnott (Jason) of Shreveport, Whitney Wells of Cookeville, TN, Lisa Grant and Nick Simons (Jessica) of Shreveport; and his siblings, Kathleen Heath of Warwick, RI and John Wells of Hammond, LA. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church of Lewisville, AR, or the Excellence in MIS Scholarship (Grunwald – Wells Family Scholarship) at Tennessee Tech University, TTU Box 1915, Cookeville, TN 38505 which was created in his honor.
