He is survived by: his parents, John Alvarez (Stephanie) and Gina; his siblings, Hollie Barrington (John), Ivan Alvarez (Jacy) and Brandon Alvarez; and his nephews, Moses, Ezekiel, Dawson and Justin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mighty Oaks Foundations who focus on helping veterans recover, find purpose, and move forward.
