She was predeceased by: her father Dr. William "Bill" Long; and her grandmother Daisy Cole. She is survived by: her mother Patricia Cole Chalaire; her daughter Sarah Lewis; her son-in-law Ian Davies; her stepfather Frank Chalaire; and her sisters, Anna Bastian (Kent Brown), Faith Dickinson and Dr. Grace Edgar (Brandon).
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Methodist Church (500 Common Street, Shreveport, LA 71101).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emily's name to a local animal rescue, a cause close to her heart.
