She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Earl and Mamie Evans Posey; her husband Vernon Ora Gentry; her son Robert Wayne Gentry, Sr.; and her siblings, Robert E. Posey, James L Posey, Lyntine Posey Ricks, Doris Lee Posey McCuller, Louise Posey Odom, Myra Posey Myers and Helen Faye Posey Radford.
She is survived by: her daughter Beverly Gentry Hallett (Charles); her grandsons, Robert Wayne Gentry, Jr. (Jennifer), Joshua Daniel Hallett (Thuy) and Jared Addison Hallett (Sara); and her great grandchildren, Trevor, Ben and Catherine. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
