He is survived by: his pets, Willie and Chuck; his wife Helen Wise; his daughter Maggie Wise of Shreveport Louisiana; his parents-in-law, Sandra Mary King, Dr. Harold King of Pleasant Hill, LA and Patricia Kennedy of Vivian; his sister Mary Beth; his brother-in-law Charlie Hoolihan; his sister Suzie; his siblings-in-law, Ricky Simmons of Converse, LA, Scott and Susan Summers of Spearsville, AR; his nieces and nephews, Mary Simmons of New Orleans, Clayton Simmons of New Orleans, Tyler Simmons of Wilmington, NC and Analeigh (William Eiser IV); his great-nephew William Eiser V. (Liam); his nephews, Marshall (Becky Summers), Andrew, Garret and Noah Summers of Shreveport; his great-nephews, Joey and Levi Summers of Shreveport, LA.; his stepsiblings, Dawn King of Shreveport, Kenny King of San Francisco and Bruce King (Kayla) of Shreveport; and his aunt Glenda Wise of Natchitoches.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church in DJ's name to assist with building missions or to the Caddo-Bossier Cancer Foundation League, which provides financial assistance to patients undergoing cancer treatment at the Willis Knighton Cancer Center.
