He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Sanders and Dorothy Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Sanders; his children, Tiffany Cupp (Brian) and Jason Sanders (Jen); his grandchildren, Alaina, Trenton, Tyler and Brooks Cupp; his sister Linda Moran (Mike); and his father-in-law Bob Hawkins.

Doug pastored the church until he was no longer able to do so due to early onset Alzheimer's Disease.
