She was predeceased by: her parents, James A. Smith and Vera Cook Smith; and her brother James Donald Smith. She is survived by: her husband Robert Michael Cothran; her children, Donna Tippen, Denise Jennings, Cheryl Jennings and Tommy Tippen; and her siblings, Evelyn Avery, Barbara Smith and Steve Smith (Ray Smith). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
