It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cuquita Moreno Rice of Shreveport, Louisiana, born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pedro Moreno and Guadalupe Moreno; her sons, James and Perry Rice; her grandchildren, Ambria Galbraith and Jonathan Enders; her siblings, Pedro Moreno, Jr. and Guadalupe Garcia; her sister-in-law Renee Moreno; her niece Elizabeth "Beth" Moreno; and her nephew Joshua Koob, Sr..
She is survived by: her spouse Wachel Rice; her children, Marlene Enders (Rickey), Col. Lesa Tilley, Jerri Kaner, Melissa Harris (Will), Karen Rice (Katy), Alfonso Garcia, III and John Rice (Gina); her grandchildren, Ashley Clinger (Steven), Avery Enders (Ariel), Megan Garcia, Corey Tilley, Robin Galbraith, Adrian Galbraith, Sabrina Owens (Nathan), Blake Rice, Sr., Devin Whipple (Lincoln), Brianna Rice, Amanda Rice, Olivia Rice and Bayle Anne; her great grandchildren, John Clinger, Austin Clinger, Gabriel Enders, Cody Reno, Jr., Keaton Bryant, Isabell Mitchell, Laytin Mitchell, Blake Rice, Jr., Erza Whipple, Everett Whipple and Nesta Summerville; and her siblings, Margaret Garcia (Joe), Sandy Griffith (Billy), Dorothy Waters (Bill), Lenora Gipson (Kenneth), Thelma Walton (Seth), Tony Moreno (Suzy), Johnny Moreno (Marilyn) and Joe Moreno.
