He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Dotie Pickens; his parents, Joseph Andrew Pickens, Sr. and Rosalie Woods Pickens; and his brothers, Joseph Pickens, Jr. and Clarence Pickens.
He is survived by: his children, Allison Pickens Bowers (Bryan), Bryan Pickens (Tiffany) and Brandon Pickens (Tuwanda); his grandchildren, Alexis, Mercedes, Bre'anna, Shelby and Kylee; and his great grandchildren, Anthony and Andrew. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (4901 Harding St, Baker, LA 70714). A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Louisiana National Cemetery (303 W Mt Pleasant Zachary Rd, Zachary, LA 70791).
