She is survived by: her husband Jack Gates; her children, Alan Shoalmire (Jennifer) of Navasota, TX, Brent Shoalmire (Shannon) of Eunice, LA and Rachel Shoalmire Scriber (Glenn) of Ruston; her stepsons, Chris Gates (Jennifer) of Indianapolis and Nick Gates (Annie Caleca) of Indianapolis, Indiana; her siblings, John Shaughnessy, Jr. (Debbie) of Shreveport and Jeanie Shaughnessy of Cozad, Nebraska; her aunt Gloria Joy Moore of Hall Summit, LA; her grandchildren, Anna Kate Scriber, Lauren, Lydia, Luke, Lacey Shoalmire, Madison, Millie and Ava Gates; her niece Jessica Fabre (Ben) of Baton Rouge, LA; her nephew John Shaughnessy III (Morgan) of Jackson, MS; and her siblings-in-law, June Gates Slaughter of Shreveport, Jill Gates Gravel (Sam) of Huntsville, AL, Virgil Pittman of Austin, TX and David Gates (Bonnie) of Fairfield, VA. She is also survived by numerous cousins, great niece, great nephew, and countless friends.
