He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodyard L. "Woody" McDowell and Ruth Fisher McDowell; and his wife Jennifer Harris of Troy, AL.. He is survived by: his children, Miles (Kathryn) and Clara Wilkinson; his siblings, Tim McDowell, Reed McDowell and Elizabeth "Liz" Baker; and his grandchildren, Russell, Emma Wilkinson, Moira and Drake McDowell.
