It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bobby Hopper (Shreveport, Louisiana), born in New Edinburg, Arkansas, who passed away on June 27, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh C. Hopper and Lennie Hopper; his wife Anna J. Hopper (Balentine); and his siblings, Max, Charles, Jerry Pat, Tommy, Clara, Nell and Agnes.

He is survived by: his friend Eva Allgood; his daughters, Sharon Darnell (Ray) and Nancy Wyrybkowski; and his grandchildren, Nickie Rowsey (Carl), Amy Collum, Larry Arnold (Jennifer), David Arnold (Jenifer), Josh DeLong (Katie), Keith DeLong (Seth) and Samantha DeLong. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children in memory of Bobby J. Hopper.

“To Sharon and all of the Beloved Family of Bob Hopper, I want to express our deepest sympathy to you. Bob and Anna were neighbors across the street from us for many years. They became fast friends. He was a special friend to my husband (who has passed away), and spend many hours visiting him. Even though he had moved, he would still come by to visit with me, my daughter and granddaughter.
