She was predeceased by: her parents, James Smith and Mary Smith; her husband Bennie Ray Strickland; her son Bennie Allen Strickland; her siblings, Elaine Hamrick and Wilbur Smith; her granddaughter Melinda Fisher; and her great grandchild Serena Jordan.
She is survived by: her children, James Michael Stickland (Anne) and Charlotte Holland (David); and her grandchildren, Shana Stickland, Heather Rosario (Johnny), Jason Holland, Richard Strickland (Heather) and Casey Griffin (Lena). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
