It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ben Gerald Scallorn in Shreveport, Louisiana, born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on March 20, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Scallorn, Jr. and Leona Cowan Scallorn; his wife Shirly Scallorn; his son Douglas Lee Scallorn; and his siblings, Leroy Scallorn and Mary Beth Braun.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Scallorn, Steve Scallorn and Lydianne Hammons; and his stepchildren, Doug Henderson, Dink Henderson, Connie Henderson and Molly Henderson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
