She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Jennie Presley and Tom Presley; her sisters, Hazel and Faye Carrol; and her granddaughter Mary Jennie Goldman.
She is survived by: her children, Gene Smith, Mary Cissy Majebé, Susan Shenfeld (Sherwin) and Barbara Genia Smith (Becky Burks); her grandchildren, Chip Smith, Genia Michaela, Patrick Goldman, Terry Smith, Matthew Goldman, Tracy Smith, Christopher Smith-Burks and Tony Streetman; her daughter-in-law Linda May Smith; and her cousin Jaynee Daniel. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, caregivers, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rose Neath Funeral Homes - Shreveport Southside (2500 Southside Dr, Shreveport, LA 71118). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
