He was predeceased by: his parents, Garlan Dallas Norman and Edith Godwin Norman; his siblings, Ray Norman, Maxine Edwards and Ann; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Bethany, Jerry Bethany, Buster Edwards and Fred Parker.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Norman; his children, Mark Norman (Lin) and Bethany Carter (Stephen); and his sisters-in-law, Wanda Norman, Sandra Parker and Sharon Shaver (Butch). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
