She was predeceased by: her husband Henry N. Burk; her son Charles N. Burk; and her siblings, Willie Ethel Elvey, James Douglas Heard and Jonnie Branam.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Burk, Diane Pharis (Bill) and Thomas Burk (Maria); and her sisters, Lucy, Elizabeth and Linda. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hope Community Church of God (3247 W Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71118).
The family suggests donations be made to Scouts of America.
