He is survived by: his parents, Keith Shofner and Mary Lou Edwards Shofner; his wife Sandra Modisette Shofner; his children, Hope Grillot (Michael) and Grant Shofner (Dana); his grandchildren, Matti Grillot, Charli Grillot, Indi Shofner and Wells Shofner; and his brother Steven Keith Shofner (Cindy).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Stans's honor to two of the charities that meant a lot to him. St. Judes Children Research Hospital and Mid-South Transplant Foundation.
