He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Drexwell Dean and Edith Dixie Rayborn Dean; his brothers, Marvin Phillip Dean and Thomas Harold Dean; and his mother-in-law Alma Mary McElrath Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Buffington Dean; his children, Kimberly Dean Taylor of Sarepta, Kay Hicks (Kevin Hicks) of Sarepta and Christopher Dean (Bethany) of Marshall, TX.; his grandchildren, Tristan Lowe, Savannah Dean, Delayna Hicks, Shelby Hicks and Hazel Dean; his great grandchildren, Ellliott Nowosielski and Ensley Tindall; and also Ann Robinson (Tim) of Umatilla, Oregon..
