She was predeceased by: her husband Warren Scott Sr.; her mother Margaret Thomas; her adoptive mother Luciell Battiest; her father Abraham Morgan; her adoptive father Jacob Battiest (Lucille Battiest); and her sisters, Cassandra Moton and Tanya Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Short (Lamar, Sr), Denise Scott (Keylan Robinson), Wanda Buckles (Kerwin) and Warren Scott, Jr.; and her siblings, Gwen Battiest, Leroy Thomas, Chrynogsous Hutchinson, Dawyane Battiest and Robert Thomas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, & close friends.
