He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Kimball and Teresa Ardoin; his former wife Marjorie Reed Kimball; and his siblings, Neilus, Hanley, LeRoy, Myron Kimball, Thelma Stage, Grace Triola and Wilda Hairford.

He is survived by: his wife Irma Jean Kimball; his children, Rene Charpentier (Rene J.) and Kyle Steven Kimball (Faith); his grandchildren, Kristy Bienvenu and Brooke Roberts; and his great grandchildren, Chesney Hebert, Adelynne, Raimey Bienvenu, Carter, Camren Roberts and Briggs Anthony Roberts.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers.
