He was predeceased by: his former wife Alma Guidry DeRouen; his parents, Howard Joseph DeRouen and Bertha Mouton DeRouen LeJeune; his sisters, Carita DeRouen Guidry (Joseph "Joe" Lawrence) and Lou L. Venable (Junior Venable); his stepdaughter Clara "Lynn" Stelly Credeur; and his siblings-in-law, Mervin Guidry (Rena Guidry), Bertrand Guidry, Jr. and Annie Mae G. Ogea.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Prejean Stelly DeRouen; his children, Eurella D. Cahanin (Keith Cahanin), Bertha "Vickie" D. Besse (Pierre Fredrick Besse, III), Howard J. DeRouen, III (Tina DeRouen) and Dee DeRouen (Amy DeRouen); his stepchildren, Brian Stelly (Janice Stelly), Dianne S. Besse (Peter Besse), Alane S. Gary (Blake Gary) and Perry Stelly; his stepson-in-law Roland Credeur (Susan Credeur); and his sisters, Mary L. Guidry and Grace L. Guidry (Merlin "Jack" Guidry). He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
