He is survived by: his wife Verna Mae Verret of Scott; his children, John Lavergne (Ann) of Lafayette, Jimmy Lavergne (Connie) of Houston, TX, Mandy Castille (Gerald) of Walker, Shontel Blanchard (David) of Lafayette, Vickie Nichols of Lafayette and Rene Hooper (Johnnie) of Houston, TX; and his siblings, Bill Verett of Lafayette, Goldie Maze of Carencro and Shirley Frederick of Loreauville. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
