He was predeceased by: his wife Velma Leonard Watson; his parents, Sonny Watson and Pauline Horne; and his brother Bobby Watson. He is survived by: his children, Joel E. Watson (Sabrina Watson) and Karen Watson Viteaux (C. J. Viteaux); his grandchildren, Joel Watson Jr., Christian Watson, Victoria Viteaux and Brighton Viteaux; his great grandchild Rosalee Gene Watson; and his brother Bill Watson.
