He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Cortez Duet; and his parents-in-law, Alcide Cortez and Irena Cortez. He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Rome (David); his siblings, Charles Duet Jr. (Ellen), Anna Mae Banowetz (Donald), Betty Melancon (late Kenneth) and Iris Bergeron (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Courtney Boquet (Tyler) and Brett Rome (Chelsea Arceneaux); and his great grandchildren, Brady Boquet, Gavin Boquet, Charlie, Betty Cortez, Marcel, Debby McGee, Allen and Robin Cortez. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
