She was predeceased by: her mother Leona Barnard Modisette; her husband Martin Dillon Cook; her father John Walter Modisette; her stepfather Conroe McMullan; her siblings, Ella Mae Moore, Aline Barnes, Thelma Denman and Herbert Modisette; and her son-in-law James Hynum.
She is survived by: her daughter Kim Hynum of Sarepta, LA; her grandchildren, Michael Marino (Lindsay) of Sinking Springs, PA and Aimee Whitehurst (Jimmy) of Baker, FL; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Whitehurst, Jackson Whitehurst, Eden Whitehurst, William Marino and Madison Marino; and her sisters, Lois Triplet of Lake Erling, AR and Faye Timmons. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home - Springhill (304 First Street, Northwest Springhill, LA 71075). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
