She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude McGinty and Nellie B. Poland McGinty; her husband Thomas S. Ballance; and her brother Stanley Ray Locke. She is survived by: her daughter Barbara "Babs" Slack (Steve) of Sarepta, LA; her grandchildren, Jessica Claire Caraway (Casey) of Springhill, LA and Russell Slack (Candace) of Springhill, LA; her great grandchildren, Maggie Claire Caraway, Samuel Lane Caraway and Desmond Luke Slack; and her brother Ronald Gene McGinty. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
