He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin Ballard and Ruby Mae McCarty Ballard; and his brother Wayne Ballard. He is survived by: his wife Janet Edwards Ballard; his children, Ronald Ballard, Richard Ballard, Jason Ballard, Cindy Gongre and Renee Hensley; and his siblings, Ruby Nell Thomisee, Brenda Ballard and John Ballard, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
