She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Preston and Gertie Felder Brent; her husband Grady R. Boyd; her daughter Rebecca Lynn Soper; and her siblings, Martha Price, Julia Alexander, Ida Johnson, Bertie Bearden and Frank "Buster" Brent.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert E. Boyd (Gail) of Rose Hill, MS and Ronald N. Boyd (Karen) of Kenner, LA; her son-in-law Paul Soper of Thibodaux, LA; her sister Irene Brent Lambert of McComb, MS; and her grandchildren, Kayla Harper (Alan), Robbie Boyd (Kelly), Travis Boyd, Joshua Boyd (Hali), Justin Boyd, Benji Welch (Stephanie) and Lisa Welch. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Boyd's name may be made to the Gideon's International.
