He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonia Royal Johnson and Henry Lewis; his stepparent Waymie Jean Lewis; his son Terrance "Terry" Lewis; his wife Waymie Jean Lewis; his stepfather Nolan Johnson, Sr.; his mother-in-law Emma Bentley; his sister-in-law Thelma "Toni" Pate; and his grandson Semaj Lewis.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Velma Stewart and Ernestine Franklin; his children, Stephen Lewis (Hazel "Andrea"), April Lewis Brown (Lewis "Kia"), Aric Lewis and Melony Lewis Lynch (Kyle); and also, Nolan Johnson, Jr. (Antqualene), Mark Johnson (Season), Sanders Johnson (Jennifer), Yvonne Downs (Joseph), Gertrude Estell, Henry Estell Oda Estell (Zena), Joyce Estell-Smith (late S. T.), Hazel Nelson (Cleveland) and Dolores Thompson (Joshua). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
