It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jernell Gautier of Saint Rose, Louisiana, who passed away on March 3, 2025, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Jernell leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Jernell may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her mother Lillie Mae Brooks James; her husband Stephen Gautier; and her sibling Rene Denise James. She is survived by: her father Harding H. James; her child Jai'Brian Gautier; her grandchild Chase Banks; and her siblings, Michelle James Claborn (Jarvis) and Tracey James Everson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church-St. Rose (100 2nd St, St Rose, LA 70087). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens (11316 River Rd, St Rose, LA 70087).
