He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Charles and Lorena Landry Charles; and his brothers, Henry Landry and Norris Charles. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Landry Charles; his children, Ronald Drake, Roy Charles, Jr., Steven Charles and Dr. Christie Charles; his grandchildren, Trae Charles and Trevelyn Charles; and his great grandchildren, Tinsley and Taisley Charles. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Notre Dame Catholic Church (201 Gary St, St Martinville, LA 70582). A rosary was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at the St. Bernard Cemetery (204 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517).
