He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Voorhies, Sr. and Josephine Florentine; his siblings, Preston, Eddie, Adolph Williams, Beverly James, Edna Williams and Bessie Mallery; and his great grandchild Skylee Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Hattie Voorhies; and his children, Allen Voorhies (Michelle Ned), Roosevelt Zenon (Danyelle), George Zenon (Summer), Renee Conston (Cornelius), Darlene Joseph (Rodney) and Carolyn Broussard (Roderick). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Baptist Church (902 St Martin St, St Martinville, LA 70582). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
