He is survived by: his wife JoAnn James (Mallery); his son Phillip James Jr. (Tynisia); his grandchildren, Kaya, Kaien, Kaylen, Kyren, Ranisia, Paige, Jakari, Patelon, Jakalynn and Aniyah; his great grandchildren, Kahlani, Jr., Jru and Paisley; his sister Annabelle James; his sister-in-law Mary Zoe James; and his friends, Jakari Phillips, Patelon James, Kaien Jones, Leroy Anthony III, Mekhi Martin, Rodney James, Chad James, Christopher Alexander and Matthew Delcambre.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - St. Martinville (112 N New Market St, St Martinville, LA 70582). A rosary was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Notre Dame Catholic Church (201 Gary St, St Martinville, LA 70582). A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Queen of Peace Cemetery (716 N Main St, St Martinville, LA 70582).
